Plastic Spastic.

So we all know that plastic bags are not good for the environment, but what exactly are the dangers of them?  After a bit of searching here's what I found:

*they are not biodegradable - so they will be around for a long time, if not forever.
* they are lightweight, so they fly away and are a cause for much of the pollution.
* they are made of petrolium . Petrolium is a naturally found and extremely flammable oil. It is basically a waste of petrolium which can be used for energy.
* Again, they are lightweight and blow away easily which becomes a danger for animals.  They may mistake it for food, or get tangled in it.
* Only 1 to 2 percent of plastic bags are recycled!! Some people think this is due to the fact that they are free and therefore people do not think twice about just throwing them out.

These are only some of the dangers to using plastic bags.
Here is a video/slideshow I saw while browsing YouTube that I thought was great.

Instead of using plastic bags, we should use reusable cloth bags and just carry them around with us. It is not a big deal, it just takes some time to get used to.

What are some other dangers to plastic bags?
