The Cornucopia Institute

"Seeking economic justice for the family-scale farming community. Through research, advocacy, and economic development our goal is to empower farmers - partnered with consumers - in support of ecologically produced local, organic and authentic food" states The Cornucopia Institute.
Founded by Mark Kastel and Will Fantle, the industry watchdog has an important agenda. Most of us did the "organic" switch starting from food, and mainly dairy products. I personally did the switch by first purchasing organic milk for my toddlers. I need to know that when I purchase a good quality product, with a higher than conventional price ticket, with a USDA certification, that it does truly contain organic and natural ingredients and was produced with high standards. These Cornucopia'ns watches the companies that say they do.
Their website contain their researches and industry reports. You can check the "Dairy Report and Scorecard" of organic farms and see where your organic milk comes from, you can read about "Infant Formula Report" and you can find out more about soy products in the market in the "Soy Report and Scorecard".
