Eat Cleaner was created by Mareya Ibrahim after her father, a Professor of Environmental Health Science was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer but survived it due to early detection and a healthy and clean diet.  Her father has been a dedicated environmentalist so Mareya grew up accustomed to living a healthy lifestyle. She has also been involved in the food industry as she has been writing about sustainable agriculture and food issues for over 15 years.
